Bookkeeping is an essential business task

Having up-to-date, accurate bookkeeping and reports not only prepares you for tax time, but also provides you with critical information for decision making, allows you to take advantage of opportunities, prevent costly mistakes, and set yourself up for success.

Whether you are just beginning to learn, have questions or concerns about your books, or are managing a bookkeeper, we can work with qualified businesses to create, troubleshoot, understand and improve your bookkeeping systems.

QuickBooks Online Training Series

In this series we will work with you to set up QuickBooks Online and train you on how to use it for YOUR business. You will end the course with a customized QuickBooks Online account based on your specific business needs, and the basic skills to do your books.

Learn how to customize your chart of accounts, connect bank and merchant accounts, record sales, cost of goods sold, and expenses, bank statement reconciliation, running and using financial reports, and more!

  • QuickBooks Online Training Series is open to all. However, if you are interested in this workshop you must have an assessment with our Accounting Advising team first. This ensures you are ready to take advantage of the training.

  • This program costs $725, but thanks to our funding partners, you may qualify for a $625 subsidy, reducing your fee to just $100.

After your assessment we will notify you if you are eligible for a subsidy, and how much your fee will be. Subsidies are available based on financial need, and sponsor criteria, prioritizing BIPOC, women, some geographic areas, and more.

We may need to ask you for some additional information to confirm subsidy eligibility, and some funding partners will require their own reporting from business owners who receive subsidized services.

IBRN Partners: Please submit a referral for your client in Stacker to receive instructions on getting your client registered with a subsidy.

  • This series includes five weekly live group class sessions via Zoom, plus five one-on-one meetings with an Accounting Advisor over the course of three months.

An additional nine months of support (counted consecutively from the start date of QuickBooks Online Training Series) may be available beyond three months if requested by the business owner and approved by Livelihood NW. Additional eligibility criteria may apply, and/or an application may be requested.

One-on-One Bookkeeping Support

Need customized training for an issue, project, or bookkeeping system? Meet with an Accounting Advisor for one-on-one training that meets your specific needs. Common projects include:

    • Not a currently enrolled Livelihood NW client, the Accounting Advisor will invite you to apply for GroundWork. If accepted, we will work with your program sponsor to subsidize the program fee (see more in COST section).

Priority for available spots in this program will be given to BIPOC, women, and LGBTQ-owned businesses, but it is not a requirement.

Priority will be given to low to moderate income individuals.
