The Livelihood NW Board of Directors and Executive Director seek to expand the number of members to enhance the expertise and diversity of the group, support the growth and strategic direction of the organization, while selecting individuals whose values align with the mission of the organization and are committed to contributing to the success of the board, staff, clients and other stakeholders of Livelihood NW.
BOard Role
The Board of Directors is made up of community professionals that embody shared passion and vision in support of the organization. The overarching role of the Board is to provide oversight, expertise, feedback, support and insight to the organization. As a governing board, members have fiduciary responsibilities. This is a volunteer board.
Time Commitment
The Board of Directors meets every other month and holds a day-long retreat once a year. There are regular Livelihood NW events that board members often attend and an annual celebration board members enjoy. The time commitment can vary depending upon special projects but as a rule, the above explanation describes the time commitment expected from board members.
Currently, due to COVID-19, all board engagements are virtual.
