Paola Zárate was born and raised in Mexico City. In the early 2000’s she moved to the United States to pursue a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University.

Paola comes from an entrepreneurial family and from a very early age she knew that she wanted to follow in her family’s footsteps. Especially her grandma who was a foreigner to Mexico City herself and as a single mom was able to build a very successful food business and leave a legacy of values of hard work and ethics. Paola was named after her.

Zárate’s upbringing in a country characterized by pronounced socioeconomic disparities allowed her to witness these inequalities firsthand, fueling her commitment to supporting underserved communities at individual, interpersonal, and institutional levels.

Embarking on her entrepreneurial journey as the owner of an insurance and financial services agency, Zárate has honed her expertise in business insurance and consulting. Her experiences have deepened her understanding of the unique needs within her community, igniting a determination to effect more substantial change. This led to the establishment of Prospera NW Consulting Group.

Prospera NW serves as a business hub, providing a wide array of services aimed at fulfilling its mission to educate and empower entrepreneurs of color. Through these efforts, the organization strives to facilitate access to new levels of opportunity for entrepreneurs, their future generations, and their communities. Zárate and her team are deeply honored to play a role in supporting many individuals on their path to achieving the American dream.
