Engagement Agreement

Part A: If accepted into Livelihood NW In-Depth Business Support, I understand and agree to the following:

  • Income Verification: Client may be required to provide personal and/or business income tax information in order to verify eligibility.

  • Fees: Any engagement fees or service fees paid to Livelihood NW are non-refundable.

  • Mailing List: Client email address will be added to the Livelihood NW mailing list. If the client no longer wants to receive these communications, the client will be able to unsubscribe.

  • Financial Reporting: Client will provide business financial reports annually. Surveys will be sent out in April and must be completed before June 1 in order to continue receiving free or sponsor subsidized services. 

  • Termination: Livelihood NW reserves the right to terminate services at any time. The Client, as well, reserves the right to terminate services if they so choose, however, Financial Reporting (item above) will remain a requirement until 1 full calendar year is completed post termination.

  • Respect: Client Acknowledges that any hate speech, hateful conduct, discrimination, racism, abuse, threats, predatory or unethical business practices, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated through the engagement of Livelihood NW services.

  • Non-Solicitation: Clients agree not to solicit or engage Livelihood NW staff, contractors, or volunteers for employment, contract work, or private consulting services that directly relate to Livelihood NW programming or client relationship, without prior written consent from Livelihood NW. Any outside engagement must be disclosed and approved in writing in accordance with Livelihood NW’s Outside Engagement Policy. Unauthorized solicitation or hiring of Livelihood NW staff may result in termination of services and/or legal remedies.


Part B: If accepted into A Livelihood NW Cohort Program, in addition to the agreements above, I understand and agree to the following:

  1. I understand that these Cohort Programs are INTENSIVE business support programs, requiring a considerable time commitment, both insides and outside Program classes.

  2. I am committed to being actively engaged for the full length of a program.

  3. I am committed to having regular meetings with my Business Advisor throughout the program.

  4. I am willing to provide financial reports on my business during the program, and for up to 3 full calendar years following program completion.

  5. I understand that these programs have REQUIRED group learning sessions and peer discussion groups.

  6. I agree to keep all financial, strategic, and/or other sensitive information related to or shared by fellow program participants and their businesses strictly confidential.


General Release

Digitally Signed and accepted by all clients enrolled into any program:

  • I authorize and grant to Livelihood NW, its representatives, employees, assignees and transferees, the right to use non-strategic, non-proprietary, and/or non-financial information regarding myself and my business including, but not limited to, name, location, nature of business and business activities, for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to, promotional, marketing, advertising, website, educational and funding proposal content.

  • I authorize and grant the use of financial information regarding myself and my business for funding proposals and reporting to funders and potential funders of Livelihood NW.

  • I grant the right to take photographs of me and my business property, and authorize Livelihood NW to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically.

  • I agree that Livelihood NW may use such photographs of me and my business with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and web content.

  • I agree not to hold Livelihood NW, its representatives, employees, assignees, and transferees, liable for any unintended consequences, including but not limited to financial, business or personal, resulting from the aforementioned activities.
