Free & LOW-COST BUSINESS LEGAL SUPPORT

The Oregon State Bar - the fee for a 30-minute consultation with a lawyer referred through OSB LRS will be $50. Oregon Law Help is a statewide website for free, plain language civil legal information and referrals.

The Small Business Legal Clinic - provides business transactional legal services to low-income small and emerging businesses. The SBLC reduces legal barriers for individuals who have been historically disenfranchised, such as people of color, women, and immigrants. Servicios legales en Español

The Commons Law Center - provides low-cost legal support to income-qualified individuals. In addition to business services, they also provide estate planning and other important legal services. As of 8/31/20, TCLC has received grant funds to provide basic estate planning services to Black people & families in North and NE Portland.

Legal Aid Services of Oregon - offers free bankruptcy clinics for eligible individuals. These clinics provide guidance and support for those considering bankruptcy as an option.

Resolution Northwest - non-profit organization offering mediation service between landlord and tenants

Multonomah Library Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) - Select library staff members have trained as PTRC representatives to help you use search tools to access patent and trademark information

Entrepreneurial Law Clinic (ELC) - is an innovative clinic serving entrepreneurs and nonprofits throughout the West Coast, with a focus on the Pacific Northwest.
