Want to share your story and grow your audience?

We’re always looking for inspiring business stories to feature in our monthly newsletter (sent to 3,600+ subscribers) and on our social media platforms (2,500+ followers). If you’re a Livelihood NW client or OWBC member and want to share your story, celebrate recent wins, or just get your business in front of more people—this is your chance. Complete the form below to be considered for an upcoming spotlight.

At this time, only current clients and members of the Oregon Women’s Business Center at Livelihood NW are eligible to request a spotlight.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Generally, we are looking for businesses that meet this criteria:

    1. The business has worked with Livelihood NW or benefited from our support in some way.

    2. The business is able to direct the audience to a call to action (shop, visit, book, learn more, etc).

    3. The business will benefit from being promoted to our audience of other small business owners and supporters in Oregon and SW Washington.

  • We are unable to provide a specific date for when your business will be featured. We send out our newsletter once a month. We may decide to post your spotlight to other channels such as social media at different frequencies.

    We may also keep you in mind for a spotlight in a future month. This is not a first-come-first serve opportunity.

  • We will do our best to notify you if you are selected. However, we may not always provide notification. Make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter and follow us on social media!

    If you are not selected, you will remain on our list to consider for future months. No need to submit your business again unless something new changes with your business.

    We cannot guarantee that all businesses will receive a spotlight.

  • We typically only write an article on a business one time. However, we often do mini highlights of businesses multiple times on social media.

    If it has been a while (years) and lots has changed with your business, we would consider another spotlight article.

    Either way — feel free to fill out a spotlight request form and we will consider it.

  • We are happy to tell the story of your business and what you are hoping to achieve with the funds. While we do share links to business fundraisers encouraging people to learn more, we will not specifically ask the audience to contribute.

  • At this time, we are only spotlighting Livelihood NW clients and OWBC members.

    If you aren’t sure, go ahead and submit anyway, and we will highlight your business if you are eligible.  

  • No! We are happy to promote the amazing stories of the small business community.
